Facebook的人力資源副總裁Janelle Gale對此解釋，如果想在Facebook等的公司大展鴻圖，就應該專注於技能和應用方面，即使簡歷表與工作內容不完全匹配：「我們（Facebook）實際上很重視技能，即使你沒有合適的經驗，但如果你有相關的技能，也可以申請。」
而在最近，LinkedIn就分析了成千上萬的招聘廣告，試圖找出現時公司最需要員工的哪些技能，然後再將這些技能與免費的LinkedIn學習課程相進行匹配。如果你想事業更上一層樓，不妨參考以下的技能排行榜，然後到LinkedIn參加相關課程。

根據LinkedIn所指，創意能力和和雲端運算都是首次上榜，成為最受歡迎的軟、硬技能。LinkedIn Learning的編輯Paul Petrone說，今年技能排行榜反映了僱主在聘請員工時所優先考慮因素的變化：
「雲端運算和人工智能等科技技能在列表中名列前茅，這代表僱主意識到採用現代技術的重要性，但他們亦應該要知道有些事情是新科技無法做到的，例如是連接人與人之間聯繫、跳出框架思考，以及能夠迅速適應新事物等。」
