寫封禮貌得體英文辭職信(下)

上篇提及寫英文辭職信時,一些語法、拼寫錯誤方面需要留意的細節;今期續談五個關於寫一封得體辭職信的重點,可給前僱主留下良好印象。
筆者認為寫一封得體的辭職信,應具備以下五個重點:
辭職原因要清晰
(一)信件開頭便要直接表明寫信的目的。
例子:「I am writing to inform you that I have decided to resign from my position as (job title)」;又或 「Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from (company name).」
(二)提供離職時間和日期/生效的日期。
例子:「My last day of work will be (date).」
(三)說明辭職原因。在信中應該清晰地說明原因,讓受信人了解你的情況和決定,例如因為個人成長、職業發展、家庭原因、健康問題等。如果表達不清楚或解釋不足,可能會讓人感到困惑。
例子:「I have accepted a position at another company」;或 「I have decided to pursue other career opportunities.」
(四)向公司表達感謝之情。在信中應該表達對上級和同事的尊重,即使僱員曾經不滿意或不同意某些公司的決定或政策。如果缺乏尊重的語言,可能會影響閣下的職業形象和未來的發展。
例子:「I want to express my gratitude for the opportunities and experiences I have had while working for (company name)」;
例子:「Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist with the transition process.」
(五)禮貌地結束信函。
例子:「Thank you for your attention to this matter」;或「I wish the company and my colleagues all the best in the future.」
辭職信全文範例:
「Dear (Name of Manager),
I regret to inform you of my resignation from the position of(job title)at(company name). My last day of employment will be(date), per the notice period outlined in my contract.
I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunities and experiences I have acquired during my tenure with the organisation. However, I have decided to pursue other opportunities that better align with my professional objectives.
Please inform me of any procedures or documentation I must complete prior to my departure. I will assure a seamless transition of my responsibilities to my successor.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
(your name and title)」。
